Your images
Leave one box empty and the other side follows, keeping the picture’s shape.
50% halves the width and the height.
Top and bottom matter when the picture is too tall; left and right when it’s too wide.
Resized copies leave out camera details and location.
Resized images
Straight up, no catch
Sharp when smaller
Big reductions are done in steps, so fine detail stays crisp instead of turning jagged.

Your browser does the resizing, so private photos and work files never leave your device.

No sign-up, no daily limit, no watermark, no “upgrade to download”.
No fake buttons
The download buttons are the real ones, right beside your images.

Good to know
Will resizing make my image blurry?
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp: Mono Mate shrinks big images in stages, which keeps edges clean. Making it bigger can’t add detail that isn’t there, so an enlarged image looks soft. The list tells you when that happens. Start from the biggest original you have.
Fit, crop or stretch: what’s the difference?
- Fit inside makes the image as big as it can be inside your width and height, keeping its shape. One side may come out shorter than you typed.
- Crop to fill makes it exactly your size, trimming whatever doesn’t fit. Choose which part to keep.
- Stretch makes it exactly your size by squashing or stretching it. Faces and circles will look wrong, so it’s only for patterns and backgrounds.
What size should I use for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube?
Pick one under Social media and the image is cropped to that size. The sizes are the ones each site recommends for a sharp result:
- Instagram: 1080 × 1350 for portrait posts (the most room in the feed), 1080 × 1440 for the newer tall posts, 1080 × 1080 for square ones, 1080 × 1920 for Stories and Reels.
- Facebook: 1702 × 630 for a page cover, 1200 × 630 for link and post images.
- YouTube: 1280 × 720 for thumbnails, 2560 × 1440 for the channel banner (keep text in the middle, as phones show only the centre).
- X: 1500 × 500 for the header, 1600 × 900 for post images. LinkedIn: 1584 × 396 for your banner.
Sites change these now and then. These were checked in November 2026.
Can I resize lots of images at once?
Yes, up to 200 at a time. They all get the same settings, and “Download all” gives you a zip. Each file is named with its new size, like holiday-1080x1350.jpg, so the originals are never overwritten.
Does resizing make the file smaller?
Usually, since fewer pixels take less space. To make it smaller still without changing the size, run it through the image compressor.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser reads each image, resizes it and hands the new copy straight to you. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. The copies leave out camera details and GPS location, and it’s all gone when you close the page.
