QR code generator: Free QR codes that point where you tell them.
No sign-up, no redirects, no expiry. Your code holds your link and nothing else. Mono, your little mate, gives a hop each time your code is ready.
What should the code open?
We add https:// if you leave it off.
Your password never leaves this device.
Style your code
#000000#FFFFFFSquare logos work best. Adding one switches the code to its strongest error correction so it still scans.
Four is the standard. Less can make phones struggle to read it.
Your code
SVG and PDF stay sharp at any size.
Straight up, no catch
Your link, exactly
The code holds the address you typed. Scans don’t pass through our servers, so there’s nothing for us to switch off later.
Works forever
No account, no free trial, no expiry date. Print it on a sign and forget about it.
Stays on your device
Codes are made in your browser. We never see your links, text or Wi-Fi passwords.
No fake buttons
The only download buttons are the real ones, right under your code.
Ads in their own box
Ads keep the site free. Every one is labelled, hatched and kept well away from the buttons you need.
Good to know
Will my code ever stop working?
No. This is a static code: your link is written into the pattern itself, so there’s no Mono Mate server in the middle to switch off, slow down or fill with ads. Many “free” generators make dynamic codes that send people to their own short link first, and those can stop working when a trial ends.
Can I change the link after I print it?
Not on a static code. Check the link opens the right page before you print. If the page might move, point the code at a page you control, like your homepage, and update that page instead.
Why won’t my code scan?
It’s usually low contrast, a light code on a dark background, a missing white border, or printing too small. Keep the code dark on light, leave the border at four squares, and test it with a couple of different phones before you print a big run.
Is my Wi-Fi password safe?
The code is made in your browser and the password is never sent anywhere. Anyone who scans the printed code can join your network, so a separate guest network is a good idea for shops and cafés.
